Swallow Dental Supplies Ltd was established in October 1998 and has seen a lot of change since then. Originally run single handed by Dr Paul Harrison, and selling just the Fortoss range of Bone Augmentation products that he helped to develop, Swallow has now grown to employ 10 full time members of staff.

The Fortoss products, particularly VITAL, are still a mainstay of the company but nowadays they are joined by the wonderful PDT Instrument range and the innovative Stoma Surgical Instruments. The latest addition to our line of products is the Scorpion Ultrasonic Scaling Tip collection with visual wear indicator. We are also ever expanding our range of surgical drapes and consumables to include both Molnlycke, Saniswiss and Omnia drape packs.

Everything that Swallow offers fits in with our company ethos to supply only high quality products at reasonable prices, supported by un-rivalled customer service and product knowledge.

Paul Harrison has worked in the field of biomaterials development since the 1980's. As well as running Swallow, he also lecturers on the subject of biomaterials on an international basis. In his free time (of which there seems to be very little) he enjoys running, hopping and skipping when he isn't spending time sailing, looking at his new motorbike (Norton Commando 961se – wow) or taking apart his vintage motorbike (a 1974 Norton Commando 850MkIIA).

Debbie Harrison, The Director, joined us part-time in 2003 when a dedicated person was needed for our stock control. Now in 2009 her role has progressed to looking after Human Resources, Regulatory Affairs and, now, the accounts department too. When Debbie isn't busy keeping the house of Swallow in order, she enjoys painting people, flower arranging and playing tunes on the piano.

Becky Jacques coalesced into the Swallow team in 2008. She currently helps runs the marketing of the company and generally finds positive ways to keep herself out of trouble. Becky enjoys going to the gym, buying clothes and doing dance games on her Wii.

Ben Harrison joined the family empire in 2007 to take over from the previous stock controller. He now looks after computer maintenance within the office and offers a helping hand to the marketing department when needed. Ben spends most of his free time sitting, slouching and staring. When not doing any of the afore-mentioned he is normally found socialising with friends.

Andrew Featherstone is another who joined the swelling army of Swallow Dental Supplies in 2007. He is currently our stock controller and also makes sure all our parcels go out of the door looking as wonderful as possible. During his time off he enjoys going mountain biking around Yorkshire and watching films.

Scott Feather found his place as part of the Swallow Dental Supplies internal workings in 2010. He currently spends his days working on the phones and processing orders. He is a font of knowledge on films from most decades so feel free to quiz him on these or our products as his knowledge grows daily.

Vicki Nunns has worked with Swallow since 2000 and specialises in Marketing and the PDT product range, looking after the Schools and Hospital in our region. Vicki has recently become a Mummy to little Josh, born in April 2010, and has returned to us on a part-time basis. In her free time Vicki is kept busy looking after her family, and also enjoys running and cooking.

Christine Pedersen has been part of the team since 2003. Christine is in charge of the accounts and has extensive product knowledge. She is now proud Mummy to baby Finlay, who was born on the 10th November 2010. Welcome to the world Finlay. Christine no longer has any free time now she is working full time and cleaning up after her two boys!

Graham Saunders: our man in the south, Graham is a vital member of our team covering visit requests and running instrument sharpening courses for all those in need in his area. In his free time Graham is a volunteer fireman and enjoys late night busking in a mankini in and around Hungerford. Contact Graham on 07831 392047.

Leanne Jayawardena: our lady in the north west, Leanne joined the sales force during the summer in 2010. As a former dental nurse her knowledge of what our customers want and need has aided her transformation into a flying saleswoman. In her free time Leanne enjoys shoes and shiny things. Tony Piercy has re-joined Swallow as a representative in the East and West Midlands, as well as looking after the marketing of VITAL, our best selling bone graft product . Tony's twenty plus years experience in pharmaceuticals and bone augmentation make him the expert in his field. Tony’s spare time is taken up with a bit of walking, a bit of swimming and watching football – he is currently receiving treatment to recover from being a Newcastle United supporter. Tony also runs a Business Psychology Consultancy offering Marketing and Management Development seminars and focusing on Dental Professionals. Contact Tony on 07966 399919.

Our Student:

We are sponsoring Joseph Harrison through a business studies degree at Manchester Met University. During recess he helps the Swallow marketing team and you might see him at the odd hygiene show. Joe’s a student so you can guess what he gets up to in his ample free time.
