We are delighted to announce that our partners at Resorba will host two brand-new seminars in 2023.

The new courses, entitled The Art of Suture and Graft and Less Stress in Sinus Lift, will focus on key aspects of oral surgery. By incorporating theoretical and hands-on learning opportunities, each seminar promises to deliver a unique overview of the subject matter and impart new and practical skills.

Led by Asst. Professor Juraj Brozovic, DMD, PhD, Specialist in Oral Surgery, the seminars will take place in September and October in the Croatian cities of Split and Varaždin.

About “The Art of Suture and Graft”

"The Art of Suture and Graft: An AMS RESORBA® Masterclass" is an intensive two-day hands-on event focusing on defect repairs.

In the first module, “The Six-Zero Standard − Superior Flap Management and Microsuturing”, wound healing biology is discussed, with a thorough insight into suturing materials. This is followed by step-by-step guidance through microsurgical suturing techniques.

The second module, “Predictable Bone Grafting in Implant Dentistry”, provides participants with clinical and scientific background on ridge defects, altogether with understanding of different grafting procedures deemed predictable for practice use.

Detailed surgical steps of Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) are demonstrated, followed by participants carrying out the procedure to regenerate a contained defect and achieve soft tissue closure by means of microsurgery.

This seminar will take place between 14 and 17 September 2023 at the Radisson Blu Resort and Spa in Split.

Please note, this seminar will be conducted in English.

About “Less Stress in Sinus Lift”

"Less Stress in Sinus Lifts: An AMS RESORBA® Masterclass" is an intensive two-day hands-on course focusing on predictable sinus grafting. The course provides an in-depth theoretical background on maxillary sinus anatomy, physiology and pathology, with particular regards to the changes that impede implant placement in the posterior maxilla.

Participants will be guided step-by-step through predictable solving of unfavourable anatomic traits in this region. Special attention is given to the core updates on surgical principles and essential flap management skills.

Furthermore, the theoretical aspect of the course will be accompanied by analyses of actual CBCT scans.

The second day starts with a ‘disaster’ session on complications associated with sinus lifts, steps to avoid them and detailed management.

During each rigorous hands-on session, participants will execute all mandatory surgical steps in both transcrestal sinus lifts with implant placement and lateral-window variants on both days. All the procedures will be carried out under supervision on state-of-the-art natural and artificial surgical models for different sinus lift approaches, adding to the confidence of the participants in their surgical setting.

This seminar is available to attend between 12-15 October 2023 at the Hotel Turist in Varaždin (near Zagreb).

Please note, this seminar will be conducted in English.
