Trade Old Hand Instruments for New and Save the Planet
Did you know that you can trade your old PDT instruments in exchange for new ones?
Working in partnership with PDT and Dentaid, we’re delighted to be part of Earthcare, a programme that allows you to recycle your old hand instruments.
How Does Earthcare Work?
For every 12 of your old instruments returned to us, you will receive a FREE stainless steel PDT hand instrument of your choice. Your old instruments are passed over to Dentaid to be reconditioned for use on their missions in the UK and overseas. Any instruments that can’t be reused are recycled to reduce waste and help protect our environment.
Who are Dentaid?
Dentaid is a registered charity that works in over 70 countries providing safe, sustainable dental treatment in poor and remote communities. They support dentists around the world by providing equipment, running oral health programmes and sending teams of volunteer dental professionals to help them reach more patients.

How Do I Return My Old Hand Instruments?
Returning your old hand instruments is easy. Simply follow our five-step guide:
1. Email us – Email sales@swallowdental.co.uk requesting a returns form.
2. Clean and sterilise your instruments – Before returning your hand instruments, please ensure they have been thoroughly cleaned and sterilised.
3. Return your hand instruments safely – Wrap all of your instruments safely and securely, ensuring there is no risk of sharper instruments puncturing the packaging. Don’t forget to include your returns form.
4. Post your items - Return your items to the following address:

5. Receive your new PDT instruments – Once we’ve received your old hand instruments, we will process your return and send out your new stainless steel PDT instrument/s.
