Properties
- Ethicon PDS II is the second generation of monofilament sutures whose structures provide a smooth passage through tissue. It is synthetic and causes minimal tissue reaction. Thanks to the extended time of tension strength in PDS II it has a wide range of surgical applications. As with all monofilament sutures, it is sensitive to mechanical stress (e.g. needle holder) so precaution should be used.
