Barraquer 1.2 mm Micro Needle Holder
The Devemed Barraquer 1.2 mm Micro Needle Holder is particularly well-suited for clinicians with smaller hands. Its external spring design keeps the instrument lightweight, enhancing comfort and control during delicate procedures. The integrated ratchet mechanism ensures the needle is held securely within the jaws for reliable handling.
Fitted with tungsten carbide (TC) inserts, the jaws offer excellent resistance to wear along with a firm, dependable grip on the needle. This model is designed for use with 5-0 and 6-0 sutures, making it ideal for periodontal applications.
The straight design allows for consistent needle pick-up from either side without the need to adjust grip or rotate the instrument, supporting efficient workflow. Featuring a 1.2 mm jaw thickness (one of the largest in the range), it provides added stability when working with slightly heavier sutures.
The “pivot-curved” closure helps prevent suture material from catching or fraying, allowing it to glide smoothly over the joint during knot tying. Finished with the F-LINE Round Solid handle, the instrument combines a refined aesthetic with excellent balance and ergonomic weight distribution.
