The Devemed Mathieu-Olsen Needle Holder with Integrated Scissors is a multifunctional surgical instrument designed for secure needle handling, suturing and cutting suture material without the need to change instruments.
Featuring integrated scissors, the instrument allows suture material to be cut immediately after knotting, helping to streamline the suturing procedure. The circumferential locking mechanism allows the desired needle-holding tension to be adjusted and has been positioned inward to help reduce the risk of gloves becoming caught during use.
A double-spring mechanism provides smooth operation during closure and automatically opens the jaws when pressure is released from the handle, supporting efficient and controlled handling throughout the procedure.
The jaws feature durable tungsten carbide (TC) inserts, providing enhanced grip and friction for secure needle retention while offering excellent resistance to wear.
Measuring 16.5 cm in overall length, the Mathieu-Olsen Needle Holder is suitable for use with suture sizes 2-0 to 4-0, making it a versatile instrument for a range of dental and oral surgical procedures.
