The Devemed Sinus Probe is designed for the precise examination and palpation of wounds, fistula canals and maxillary sinus communications during oral and dental surgical procedures. Its double-ended design provides clinicians with the versatility to assess tissue depth and direction accurately while minimising the risk of tissue trauma.
Featuring two blunt button-shaped working ends, the probe includes a 1.5 mm diameter tip and a slightly angled 1.0 mm diameter tip, each measuring 30 mm in length.
The atraumatic design allows for gentle exploration of wound cavities, fistulas and foreign bodies without damaging surrounding soft tissue. It is particularly useful for detecting and assessing oroantral communications following upper posterior tooth extractions, enabling clinicians to identify connections between the oral cavity and maxillary sinus so appropriate treatment can be carried out promptly.
