Bernard #21 Root Elevator, 5.0 mm
The Devemed Bernard Root Elevator 5.0 mm is designed for the precise removal of fractured roots and retained root remnants during dental extraction procedures. Combining the functions of a root tip elevator and periotome, it enables clinicians to separate periodontal ligament fibres and mobilise the root using a single instrument.
Featuring a 5.0 mm working end, the Bernard Root Elevator has a concave inner surface with sharp lateral edges. Using controlled rotational movements and gentle pressure, the cutting edges help separate the periodontal ligament while progressively loosening the root fragment from the surrounding tissues.
This combination of ligament separation and root mobilisation supports a controlled and minimally traumatic extraction technique, helping to preserve surrounding bone and soft tissue wherever possible. The 5.0 mm working profile provides secure engagement and excellent control during root removal.
Manufactured from high-quality surgical stainless steel, the Bernard Root Elevator 5.0 mm provides excellent strength, tactile sensitivity and reliable clinical performance. Designed for repeated sterilisation and long-term use, it is a specialist surgical instrument for precise root and root fragment removal.
