Imagine delivering profound, pain-free anaesthesia in seconds, without the prolonged numbness or discomfort associated with traditional techniques. Intraosseous anaesthesia represents a revolutionary approach to local anaesthetic delivery, helping clinicians improve patient comfort, reduce anxiety and achieve more predictable clinical outcomes.
During this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to:
✓ Understand the principles of intraosseous anaesthesia
✓ Identify the ideal clinical indications
✓ Achieve rapid, predictable anaesthesia
✓ Reduce reliance on conventional block techniques where appropriate
✓ Improve patient comfort and confidence
✓ Safely perform the technique through supervised practical sessions
What to Expect
Our comprehensive introductory workshop explores the principles, science and clinical application of intraosseous anaesthesia, providing delegates with the knowledge and practical skills to confidently incorporate this innovative technique into everyday dental practice.
Unlike conventional local anaesthetic techniques that rely on nerve blocks or soft tissue infiltrations, intraosseous anaesthesia delivers the anaesthetic solution directly into the cancellous bone adjacent to the treatment site. The result is rapid onset, profound anaesthesia with minimal collateral soft tissue numbness, allowing treatment to commence almost immediately while enhancing the overall patient experience.
Throughout the day, delegates will gain a thorough understanding of the indications, clinical benefits and protocols associated with intraosseous anaesthesia. The course explores its application across restorative dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, implant dentistry, periodontology and paediatric dentistry, while also demonstrating its value in managing challenging cases such as mandibular molars, irreversible pulpitis and anxious patients.
Using the QuickSleeper electronic intraosseous anaesthesia system as the hands-on training platform, delegates will develop practical confidence in patient assessment, injection protocols, clinical positioning and safe delivery techniques. However, the focus of the workshop is the concept and clinical advantages of intraosseous anaesthesia itself, equipping delegates with a clear understanding of how this technique can be successfully integrated into routine practice.
Combining evidence-based learning with supervised practical training, this workshop is ideal for clinicians seeking to expand their local anaesthetic skills, deliver more comfortable treatment experiences and improve efficiency within modern dental practice.
